I directed and edited a fast-paced promotional video campaign for Visit Jackson aimed at repositioning the city as an authentic destination for millennial travelers. The project spanned a hero promo video, a six-part docutainment series, and a civic pride campaign — racking up over 70,000 views in its first year and earning a finalist nod at the 2018 City Nation Place Awards in London.

Storyboarding & Direction

Developed the visual narrative from the ground up, storyboarding a fast-paced style that showcased over 200 locations across the city. Directed on-camera talent and locations to capture the energy and authenticity at the heart of Jackson’s “City with Soul” brand.

Video Editing

Edited the final cuts across multiple video formats — from a punchy 60-second promo to episodic docutainment — balancing pace, tone, and brand consistency throughout the series.

Production Coordination

Managed shoot logistics including location scheduling and talent coordination across the city to keep a large-scale, multi-format production on track.

A civic pride film spun out of the broader Visit Jackson campaign, built around a poetry slam-style narration reflecting on Jackson’s transformation from an overlooked Southern city to a vital urban destination. Storyboarded, directed, and edited the piece, coordinating talent and shoot schedules to deliver the campaign’s emotional centerpiece — supported by a micro-influencer campaign, merchandise, and a city-focused blog.

Chefs with Soul

A web-based cooking and talk show series produced as part of the Visit Jackson campaign. Hosted by a prominent local restaurateur, each episode featured conversations with award-winning Jackson chefs and personalities, spotlighting the food culture at the heart of the city’s identity. I was in charge of directing, editing, coordinating talent and shoot schedules across multiple episodes.

Be Soulful in Jackson

A multi-platform video campaign created to target millennial travelers and drive awareness for Jackson as a destination. Developed around key audience personas aligned with the city’s hospitality offerings, the campaign produced a series of spots for both television and social platforms.
